Wow... I know it's old, and I should just let it go, but 'benzos' are benzodiazapine - Benadryl is the brand name for an over the counter medication called diphenhydramine. It's an anti-histamine, nothing more than something that you can buy for $2.99 on the shelf at any American drug or grocery store. It's a virtually safe OTC medication that makes people a little sleepy and works on sinuses and allergies. A tiny bit of Benadryl isn't going to hurt any child. The video is cute.

Let me get this straight... you can take just about any drug you want in your country, but you're freaking out because my child's pediatrician told us to give him some over the counter allergy medication??

let me put it like this: all the american school shooters were on benzos or other psychotropic drugs.
don't take your pediatrician's word for anything. instead, ask him about the complementary cruise he got from glaxo or something.
