http://www.TheTrackAthlete.com - Bobby Smith hits 247'7" (75.46m) at the Tucson Elite Throwers Classic in May 2008. This meet was full of energy and a lot of good footage was captured. The footage exist in the members area on my website which people who have bought the shirt or the javelin movie [Impulse!] have access to.

  • People here should stop whining about to much muscle. Many American throwers (just like Greer) maybe have to much muscle compared to agility/speed, but if it's their way to throw far let them! I don't care if you throw 75m with the speed of a veyron or strength of a bear, it's still hard to do!!

  • @santeenl well put! This video has been very polarizing. A lot of people hating on Bobby. I just uploaded two other videos from this meet. "Esko Mikkola Javelin" and "Sean Furey Javelin" First and second at this meet respectively. I would love to hear what everyone thinks about these other throwers.

  • Completely shit throw I do agree with chockolato. He does have too much muscle and muscle is a little heavier than fat. Bobby should be more toned with less muscle, and I do know what I am on about with 6 National Titles, 2 National records and representing Ireland once in the javelin

  • @FattrollysChannel The question is have you thrown further than Bobby? I just uploaded two other videos from this meet. "Esko Mikkola Javelin" and "Sean Furey Javelin" First and second at this meet respectively. I would love to hear what everyone thinks about these other throwers.

  • @WilliamsBrianL Obviously not and I was hoping you ask me that because I don't look at the distance, I look at the technique of the person and what they should look like and as I said before he has too much muscle. He would have to do a lot of speed work in comparison to the amount of muscle. The question you have asked is extremely one dimensional (in which I don't mind answering) and could you asked people something else because that is like something that my 5 year old niece would ask.

  • @FattrollysChannel hate to break it to you man but you are critiquing the wrong sport. If you want to be totally subjective like that you should comment on videos of diving, gymnastics, or snowboard half pipe. Track & Field is a sport that only cares about results. It is like saying that Michael Johnson ran with his chest stuck too far out or saying that Usain Bolt is too tall to run the 100m. It is irrelevant.

  • @cspaulding1993 God love you if you think that way, my dear!!! If he was anyway a descent thrower and if he lost a certain amount of muscle he could throw well over 80 meters if not the 90 meters. Plus I have thrown with both; the old javelin when I was younger and the new javelin came in when I was 19 or 20 years old. So you can call me an 'Ireland Fuck' all you want

  • @FattrollysChannel that was probably with the old rule javelin you ireland fuck.

  • We all do have to spend a lot of time looking at technique before we care about results so I don't think I'm critiquing the wrong sport as you have said.Respond to this video...

  • @WilliamsBrianL As I have said I look at the technique and that is all that I have done with myself and every other javelin thrower since the age of 7 because I am a technical person and the only reason that you came back and commented me is that I compared you to my 5 year old niece. I do agree with you that this sport cares about results and how far we can get but isn't that with all sports.
