An Interesting Day at the A&A

A day of unexpected adventures awaited Big Jim Productions at the Arcade and Attica in upstate New York on Friday, October 21, 2011. While on vacation with the Mrs., a stop was made to chase the A&A while she rode the 2 pm Fall Foliage trip. It was a cold and rainy day, so I apologize for the rain on the lens in one of the scenes. From ALCO 2-8-0 #18 running low on steam and stopping before the crossing at Genessee Rd, to a car accident that blocked the tracks near the Arcade firehouse (the car was removed and track inspected before the train got back), it certainly was "An Interesting Day at the A&A". I see why she was low on steam at 3:52 she is practically leaking steam through every opening she has! Was she stopped there?

@TheStrasburg90 Yup - she was stopped for about 10-15 minutes at that spot. Bad coal, if I remember one of the crew members correctly (I asked later).  Just couldn't get her steam going at that point. But the part where she starts rolling up the hill - she was really talking well at that point. Wish the camera hadn't got rain on the lens then...

7 cars, thats alot of weight. is A&A all flat level track or does it have some grades?
