I just gave away my trusted HV 10 for a new one of these. Its my smaller and on the fly Camera. I'm hoping its good. One big reason for change, HV 10 tape and firwire.
Its old tech and flash cards are just so much easier to get clips up and into the video editor.

Hey there. you have a very nice backyard. if you remember, what settings were your camera on and what programs did you use to import, render, etc all of this? and if you know, what kind of graphics card and processor do you have on your computer?

@AaanthonyyyNick YouTube now supports up to 2gig uploads.
A lot of people say uploading the M2TS files is not really that good. But YouTube might have fixed that problem by now. But I really do not know.
I got the Sanyo 1010 and it records in MP4 you can just upload the MP4 with no problem.
You have spiders like that just roaming around in your backyard? OMFG!

first off it depends if u want HD video on Youtube or SD. If u want HD video then ur going to have to compress ur footage with H.264 and make sure its 1 GB or less for Youtube. Once u get the compressed file then u can upload that into youtube. If u just want standard definition i would just export the edited footage into 1 file and then upload it to youtube instead of going under "share" in imovie n exporting to youtube.

You say Quicktime takes hours to upload ?
I have the same camera with the DM 100 mic.
I save it in Wmv I think it is 720. I shoot in SP mode 30 frames for the internet. how about you ?

I mean the encoded 720p quicktime file takes a while to upload to YT. And it takes hrs n hrs to encode the original footage with H.264 at 1080. I shoot using cinema mode at 24p at 1080 for everything
