  • AMEN..."In the same way, "Why would God choose an adulterous nation like us?" Lord, have mercy on a pathetic people such as us, yet an honor that you have chosen us nonetheless.

    Praise be to God!

  • woah! this guy!!

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB so then the preposition we find at the start of Romans 9:13 "AS," ties the election together, "As it is written Jacob I loved, but Esau I have hated." If God's love was conditional would you be alive today? -the scriptures state we are all under sin and that no one can meet God's standard for living,.in fact thats why we all die, all sin! But because of HIS LOVE and not ours for HIM, He provided away of salvation for us. Faith is a gift. Grace is not earned=Unconditional Love

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB I find it very troubling that you would assume that "People don't love The Lord," because of what this brother has said! In Romans Paul gives insight to JACOB and ESAU If you look further through the bible, you will find Paul in Romans 9:11-12 , speaking of election, "for the children not yet being born,NOR HAVING DONE GOOD OR EVIL, that the PURPOSE of GOD according to ELECTION might stand NOT OF WORKS but of HIM WHO CALLS, it was said to her the older will serve the younger

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB Then read Ephesians 4:11:"He is the one who gave these gifts to the church:the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and the teachers."And I do truly believe that he is a brilliant teacher and his teaching is based one hundred percents on the Bible and his teaching is a living one because he truly experienced the love of the Lord at its fulness.I wish I can even imagine that I shall experience a true and rich relationship with the Lord .

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

    (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

    AND

yes GOD choose Abraham and others but in theology that's called 'the secret counsel of GOD.

The predestination is the secret counsel of GOD.

John Calvin warned not to ferret out the topic of predestination.

GODS love is unconditionally and at the same time

    GODS love is conditionally.

    JESUS IS LORD!!

'And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, THIRDLY TEACHERS ,etc.'

    (1 Korintiërs 12:28)

1- When you have a child(a son) and he acts like a naughty boy, is your love for your son gone then? Of course not. You will correct your child and you still love the child....

2-According to the Word of GOD:

GODS love is unconditionally and at the same time

    GODS love is conditionally.

    Who can understand this paradox?

    Answer: GOD!!

    JESUS IS LORD!!

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB

I don't get your drift but Brother Ravi is an excellent teacher.

GOD loves unconditionally according to Scriptures.

This is one side of the message of the Word of GOD.

On the other hand GOD's love is only for the elect according to Scriptures.

An apparent contradiction in our 'darkened understanding' but not for the Almighty GOD.....

    Let Scripture rule:

    Sola Scriptura..........

    JESUS IS LORD!!

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB

    Are you a hyper calvinist?

GODS love is unconditionally and at the same time GODS love is conditionally.

    So be it......

"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

    (Romans 5:6-8)
