Showing two VGA demos on my newly assembled Parallax Propeller development board. The Propeller is a 32 bit MCU with 8 execution units (cogs) running with a system clock of up to 80MHz.

  • I know it, it's commercial and very expensive, not my cup of tea.

  • You might want to start by visiting the Parallax website and check out the hydra game platform. Just google Parallax. The site has a forum which is also a great source for info.

  • I have no clue what this is all about butyou said you were going to program a video game with this? that got me interested how can i learn more?

  • Does the font set include Unicode characters?

  • can we program the COGs to behave as DMA devices?

  • These development boards are starting to look less like microcontrolers and more like computers. Do they have I/O ports?
