Marriage Equality Rallies 3 Dec 2011

On the 3rd of Dec 2011, in Sydney, there was two marriage equality rallies. The first against marriage equality and the second for it. I attended both and this is the edited footage.

I am disgusted to see a mother has taught her child to recite that the parents he should have are a mother and a father. The young child has no undersatnding of the issue at all.

Having endured a dreadful childhood at the hands of abusinve parents; I now see loving gay couples who would have given me such a better upbringing.

Shame on the Labor Party for its refusal to represent the will of the people and legalise marriage equality. The conscience vote is a scam and we all know it.

It was amazing though to see how many anit-gay protesters there were compared to how many equality protesters there were, they have certainly become a minority and that is a step in the right direction.......EQUALITY FOR ALL x

It is disgraceful to see the way that woman exploited her child, it is disgraceful to see narrow-minded people who say they are people of god, If god is a beautiful, loving being that in fact exists and was the creator of all and still resides watching over us he/she would not have created gay people because he/she did not love them or because he/she wanted them to be taunted and treated as lesser beings, these religious freaks are imposing their own fears and insecurities on us, not god....

I do not understand why the debate centers around the comfort and morality of a few narrow-minded straight people. Don't support gay marriage? The answer is simple: don't get one yourself! Stop meddling in the love and lives of others.

Sad to see a mother would use her child to put her point of view across. Yes this is an emotionally charge issues on both sides. I do wonder if those that are anti marriage equality, would change there mind if they had a son/daughter who was same sex attracted. These anti people have no idea of the pain and hardship that is faced by not having equal rights. So happy that the vote was in FOR marriage equality, well done all who voted FOR, you have the guts and fortitude that our country needs.
