LEGO Mindstorms NXT, 100 meters, The Ultimate Race ...in slow motion

This is one of my first NXT creations in which I have tried to control more than three "moving elements" using only one NXT set.

The use of a single NXT limits the number of NXT motors to only three. In order to overcome this limitation, a special device ('Analogue Multi-Output Device') has been constructed. With this the simulated race is fully automated and no manual intervention is required.

Race takes place in steps and at a given time only one athlete is in move. Thus, don't expect that runners will complete the race in 10 seconds... this is a "slow motion" race.

Symbolically the "Ultimate Race" has been submitted for publishing in NXTLOG on the 8th of August 2008, the official opening date of the 29th Olympiad.

Amazing! I wish i could build that but unfortunaly i haven't got mindstorms but im gonna get it for my birthday. Add me as a friend and subscribe and when its my birthday maybe a week after ill put some videos of my mindstorms creations.
