After the massive destruction from a Tornado hit Joplin, Mo. these very strange lights & lightning went on for hours. No thunder. This was filmed in Chetopa, Ks. appx 45 miles from Joplin.

You can see scalar waves in the cloud area. Apologies for the shaking video.

  • Also, you can hear my son stating he is cold, he was wrapped in a coat while filming the night time video. After we came home I filmed even more from the house. Then went to the river around midnight & filmed more. There was NO RAIN!! There was NO THUNDER!!! I thank those of you who have commented in a polite & respectable manner. I thank those of you who are in "the know" of what the actual possibilities are. Those who are unaware, please take the time to WAKE UP & DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

  • I have lived in this area for 35 years, I have been in an F-5 tornado, plus too many others to count. Never have I seen anything like this. This even with my cheap camcorder clearly shows scalar waves in the beginning of the video. The lightning continued for at least 5 or 6 hours. We actually went out of town about 1/8th of a mile to get away from any city lights & my 8 year old recorded a good 20 more minutes of this strange activity. It is completely unedited also. It is on my page.

  • Around that time frame we had storms like that here in Michigan. My animals go to a safe place then. Where they feel safe. There is a lot we are not told. You need earth above you when it gets like this. Build a storm shelter. Even if you have a basement. Good luck. This year will be hell I think.

  • I Love ThunderStorm's

  • We sometimes see this is Belleville, IL. Usually it's from a distant thunderstorm, too far away to hear. But, it's more likely electronical bursts from broken things (lamp-posts, phone wires, etc..) because you don't see lightning, instead you see bursts of light coming from the GROUND, not they sky. Also probably why it's green. Good video ;-)

  • I can't make it out!

  • This is just a distant thunderstorm where you can't hear the thunder but you can see the lightning. Light travels faster and further than sound so you can see the lightning. The "Scalar Waves" are a cirroform pattern on the bottom of the Anvil. No HAARP here.

  • yeah i think this is heat lightning i remember when i saw this when i was 5 i was scared to death to look at it

  • Fairly sure this is heat lightning. It sometimes happens after very large, powerful storms come through. No thunder or anything since there is no exchange of ions with the ground. Hope that explains it for you!

  • WE'RE FROM SIRIUS...and, she was correct; it's not a star. Spread the word

  • This is normal. Massive, powerful storms viewed from a distance will sometimes spit out some rapid fire, intense cloud to cloud lightning. Some storms produce more than others. BTW, nice capture of that UP train going by blowing its K3LA!
