The audio was recorded in the late 1970s using a 4-track reel-to-reel recorder. I played all the instruments and did all the vocals/harmonies by mixing and re-mixing the tracks.

The video is a compilation of photos of the great James Griffin, founding member of Bread.

  • Hi Fran,

I tried to locate you! I like to know why the break and run cd was never released. Is there a possibility t will be in future? A James Griffin/Bread fan from, the Netherlands

  • Hi-

I think it was an unauthorized project - I think Robb Royer is still considering a tribute to James, so maybe we will see that at some point.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Fran...it's Rikki Morris here, I was support act for Bread through Australia and New Zealand in 1996. Long time no hear! Hey, I just found some old video footage of James singing 'The Healing Has Begun' in my home studio here in Auckland New Zealand...I'd love to post it on Youtube but don't want to cause any disrespect to James or his family...do you know of anyone I might be able to clear this with?? Regards, Rikki Morris

  • Yes- Thanks! I was fortunate to chat briefly with Jimmy before his " Bread" gig in Sheffield Uk in 1997- He kindly signed my " Breakin up is Easy" album-- this was my favourite song on it-- in fact he did a little impromptu version of the first verse for me there in the corridor! Very pleasant guy. Miss his music.

  • Hi Ruth - Thanks for the comments!!
