Trash is cash written by Lillian Tende of Wafalme an exciting multi talented hip-hop group supported by Slum Trust Talent, mainly highlights the problems that climatic and environmental changes have caused in Africa and their respective solutions, most especially in Kenya .

Climate change has progressed substantially worldwide. Constructive research has confirmed that all forms of pollution in the air will significantly change the earths climate in the near future. This change in climate will certainly affect many aspects of human and non-human activities across the globe.
The climatic change issues in Kenya range from extreme weather events, such as drought and floods that are certainly related to climate variability, to access to energy for the majority of the people in the region. The consequence of such extremes is that ecosystem functions are disrupted, with disastrous consequences for biodiversity and the people who are affected. Droughts and Floods negatively impact food production and food security as well as hydroelectricity generation.
This song also highlights the problems that climate change is causing in people's daily lives in Kenya . For instance Natural resource scarcity where theres an Acute water shortages and a lack of renewable energy sources making life hard across the country. Other problems include, Improper garbage disposal, the health hazardous slum life and the harsh lifestyle affiliated to it, the overcrowding ,improper sanitation, people embracing the poor environmental slum conditions due to no choice, lack of trees in the slums ,illegal cutting of trees in forests ,land erosions and depletions which result into the planet getting warmer hence posing a risk to human life.
Trash is cash not only highlights the problems affiliated with climate change, but also the solutions to these problems, for instance utilizing of intoxicated garbage through recycling ,planting trees to make the world a greener place, employment opportunities to generate income through recycling innovation which have seen a rapid slum upgrading, hence improving the lives of mankind.
Therefore it is upon nations to take a unified action to curtail these climate changes based on a global agreement. As far as those potentially affected by such climatic changes is the mankind in general Individuals should learn to take adaptation measures voluntarily when these actions deem beneficial to us.
