So Lonely - Police - Guitar parts 1 of 2

Here's how I play most of the guitar parts to So Lonely by The Police.

Unlike most requests, which come to me from all over the world, this one was made by neighbour Dave, who lives half a block away from me.

This is the first of two videos. This first shows me playing the song live against a simple backing track I made with Garageband. A second video shows the fingerings I use for the riffs and my version of the solo.

As with all my videos, this isn't meant to be a note-for-note rendition of the song as it appears on the album. It's just the way I play it.

Did you make the backing track from scratch, or did you have a midi of the song? Also is the flanger and compressor in Garageband or pedals you own? Excellent, thanks!

@opalko67 Thanks! I made the backing track from scratch in Garageband. I plugged my guitar directly into the computer and used only effects that come with the software. I probably used the flanger and compressor, and I think I used the "Liverpool Bright" amp setting with the gain set to full.

what other settings in garage band did you have for the guitar?

@Toddathon1 The tempo is 80 bpm. I used "Liverpool Bright" and added a flanger. I can't remember the exact settings, but I do remember that I cranked the gain to full.
