"If you really love someone, you don't [have sex with] someone else" - I think this needs to be qualified.
There are people out there in loving and lasting relationships who have agreed with each other that they are allowed to have sex outside of that lasting, loving relationship without violating it. Where sex outside the relationship has been discussed beforehand with ALL concerned parties, considerately and WITHOUT COERCION, and has been agreed upon, I don't believe it is immoral.

"Once they cheat, they should be dead to you." -- Completely correct. I loathe the lifestyle-magazine advice to reconcile at almost all costs, even your own dignity. That guy or girl *cheated* on you. What else is there to say? Chuck them aside and get on with your life, and regain your dignity, and surround yourself with positive energy, not with some bastard who has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that they don't value you.
