The title of the album's [ace] first track quotes Steinbeck; it's about the necessity of looking to the East, where the Sun rises and Life begins, rather than the West, where it sets and we go to sleep... so think of the life they lived and the life raised they into the world, not as something lost, but as a day that has passed
