  • The ball flight is good, very good control and not to high. The flight is subject to your swing speed I swing my 6 iron around 85/90 mph. I was using a dynamic gold s300 shaft.

  • Is it true that the mizuno mp's should only be played by single digit h'cappers? I'm off 16 and the guy in the golf shop said the mizuno mx series would be better for me. Is this true?

  • Well that is a bit black and white, the MX range is aimed at your hcap player but the MP range if hit well performs like no other club.

  • @andy55055 Gotta disagree with you on that one.......Im a 14 handicap and wouldnt swap the mp 57s for the world.......I suppose it depends on the quality of ball striker you are.......there is no doubt that if you mishit these clubs you loose distance and direction, but they are not soley designed for single handicap golfers....

  • can't decide between the MP57 and the MP58

  • I am a 4 handicap, is this club fitted for me?

  • what handicap is this club

  • You have become my "go to" man when it comes to reviews. You're so informative, fair, and honest that I've come to trust your opinion. Thanks!

  • I've tested these clubs out and they work really well. I was shocked at how much control I had with the club. My favorite club is still the Nike clubs they have more power than any other club I've used.

Check out the brand new Nike clubs in my profile.

  • what are the differences from the mp52 performance wise? i hear that the 52s are a tiny bit more forgiving and feel less soft and the 57 is softer but a tiny bit less forgiving... what are the similarities/differences in your opinion?

  • i play the MP 57 mizuno's and I don't lose any distance. It feels great.

  • i have the mp 57 and i found out that i didnt loose any distance with them. i found that i gained ball speed with them from my previous iron which where taylormade r7's. i love my mizuno's and the feel is unbelievable.

  • Are the lofts on these the same? If the Yonex is stronger loft, that would explain the increase in ball speed. The ball is moving forward on the x-plane. It's entirely possible that Yonex 6 iron is the MP-57 5 iron, loft wise.

How are you explaining the difference in ball speed, otherwise? Titanium is "springier" than steel, but not at clubhead speeds as low as they are with a mid-iron. Chances are good that your clubhead speed increased with graphite.
