I thought so to at first. It's not alive. It is the salt reacting in it's nervous system to cause movement. It hasn't been cooked so it hasn't received efficient muscle trauma to make movement impossible. And soy sauce has caused it's chemical reaction of the movement here. If it was alive it would be moving, breathing, and flopping.

@NickLiang Umm no. SOME of the livestock I eat have been raised in poor conditions. If you bothered to look into it, you would find that once again, we have LAWS against the shit that other countries are openly involved in. And yes, Torturing cattle to death. Google what Indonesia has been doing with our live exports and then try and say the raising of animals in unsavory conditions (which is so fucking rare in this country that I almost need not mention it) is even half as bad.
