  • do they put you to sleep ?

  • So glad i did not watch this video befora having my surgery!

  • I had this surgery about 9 years ago and it changed my life...I'm now 29 and loving life. I had this surgery, along with two others so soon as the following two months! I had my wisdom teeth taken out as well as an operation to remove the frenulum muscle that connects your upper gums to your lip. My muscle was a little too big and doctor said over time it would eventually split the two front teeth apart. I have to say, of those three surgeries the recovery was relatively easy.

  • well has been 6 weeks when i did the operation still i can't full open my jaws cuz of my left jaw it hurts ! but overall i'm so happy i did it cuz i had a open bite and my upper bit was small then the under bit so they need to wide that up to the under bit and center it in the middle. About the recover sensibility on lips and cheeks well mine is after 6 weeks still a little bit on anesthesia it's just a small part of my lips and a small part of my chin besides that cheeks are no more sensibel.

  • I had this surgery done 3 weeks ago. Here's my question, how long did it took you to recover sensibility on lips and cheeks???

I've been told beetween 6 months and a year.

  • Had this done (just top jaw) two weeks ago. Recovery hasn't really been that bad so far. Little to no pain, the worst thing was the sinus pressure, but some saline rinse took care of that. The liquid diet isn't as bad as I thought it would be at all. You lose your appetite pretty quick, so you don't even want to drink, much less eat. I got 9 days left until I *think* I'll be cleared to eat.

  • @wickeed100 i.e. Bristol Palin

  • @nitestryker7 I understand if it is for health sake as in your case. Good to hear that it solved a lot of problems for you. First when I saw this movie, I thought that it's a broken jaw surgery. It's very convenient, I thought. But if people are doing this just to make their jaw slimmer or to lift it and look nicer, then it's f...ked up.

  • @wickeed100 I had this done not for cosmetic but for functionality. I just had my lower jaw advanced and now my bite is perfect. Eating and oral hygiene is alot easier now with aligned jaws and straight teeth.

  • @wickeed100 this is a medical surgery, the physical part is just a "side effect"
