What I felt was missing in Mass Effect 2 was a memorable credit/ending sequence which was present in Mass Effect 1. Mass Effect 1 was amazing in its use in Faunts' M4 Part 2, which has grown to be probably one of my most favorite songs.

In this video I attempt to provide an alternative take on the music used at the end of the game. The first song is "Take A Bow Symphonic Mix" by Muse, the second song is the end of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPpva82rHlo

  • Who was in the coffin?

  • @ShikaStoner I believe the original person whose footage I used happened to have Garrus die.

  • @Tanker940 Wasn't Garrus, he was viewable in the cutscene.

  • @dcl32 Ah my bad, I'm not sure who had died then.

  • Brilliant, but it it seems almost too much. Like it would be more appropriate to finish the third game with, instead of the second. Still thought it was awesome though. Everything synced up perfectly.

  • @Matterialize I felt the lyrics worked well also. Corrupt = Shep as Renegade. Touch = Shep touching the coffin. "Beholden for all that you've done" = player's actions during the game. "Cast a spell on the country you run" = Shep's ability to command his squad. "Risk all their lives and their souls" = Risk the lives and souls of the members of his squad. "Burn in hell for your sins" = can be taken a number of ways, original sin referring to being human, hell being the reapers, etc.

  • I personally love this idea as ME2 was definitely lacking the great credits that ME1 had, however I don't think the music is the right choice. This is probably just because I loved the utter crap out of M4 Part 2, which is definitely one of my favourite songs of all time.
