Deizhmat is composed of two words, deizh (day) and mat (good). Literally translated, we have day-good or good day. Dit is made up of Da (to) and out (you), in other words, Dit means to you. Of course, to someone you do not know or need to show great respect for, you say, Deizhmat deoc'h. That o'ch is you.
In Luo Language we say, oyawore in the morning, osawore in the afternoon and oimore in the evening.
