This is not solely about subsidized housing. I'm not certain, but I would suppose this violates Ms. Smith's family's constitutional rights, otherwise, I doubt the ACLU would take this case on.
I hope she wins. A family with a desire to stay together should be applauded not punished because of living in subsidized housing.

Nowhere in the constitution is the authority granted to congress to subsidize housing. Follow the constitution and we won't have these problems.
