The BA in Journalism and New Media is an exciting new course that teaches students the core practical journalism skills and develops their critical analytical skills through the study of two specialised subjects.This is the only undergraduate journalism course in Ireland that teaches students how to cope with the challenges of new technology by focusing on new media.

Students learn a wide range of practical journalism skills including: reporting; feature writing; investigative reporting; sub-editing; magazine journalism and shorthand.They learn how to apply these skills to print, broadcast journalism and new media - on-line journalism and podcasting.
