wow, children. Hands are very easy to wash, do you not wash your hands when your done? What is the point of using your foot to flush? How baffling you paranoid germ phobics are. Soap n water, it still works.

@cathalcom 1)that would be awkward; 2) that handle's actually designed for hand use. only hypochondriacs and/or germophobes would see a toilet handle as a foot lever. besides, if he's got all that crap it's from people flushing the toilet using their foot.

Yes, many people kick the flush handles rather than touch with hands. As a result handles break off eventually (from being constantly kicked). That's one reason they switched to automatic flush in many toilets, because people were kicking the handles and breaking them eventually from increased force applied to handle...
