you should really consider washing your hands after touching raw meat. Plus you should never have a rare burgers. The reason is the bacteria are on the exposed parts of meat so steak has bacteria on all exposed sides thous allowing you to have it blue, rare, medium whatever. Burgers are mad of minced beef so the bacteria from the original exposed sides is now minced and mixed throughout the burger!
