I got a chance to fuck with them side by side and alot of your points were valid. I dont think the Akai mpc 5k can fuck with the mv 8800 because the mv has everything the 5k has x2 integrated with a sonic cell module the mv becomes a different beast so yes i would agree with you as far as who has the best total package but there is a big difference in sound i can't explain it's like when i do a track in logic vs pro tools it has its own distinct sound characteristic same with the mv and the 5k
