The turbo version really has to work hard once you get above 100(62mph). I barely have to get above 4K rpm while keeping the accelerator slightly depressed in the 2.5 V6. Once it hits that final upshift, it's like being launched from a slingshot. I've humiliated many a BMW/Mercedes/Mustang that way, in Saab "stealth acceleration" mode. In top gear I hold the rpms at 3.5K and the car continues accelerating, with no perceptible change in engine sound - they expect to hear a loud revving..ha, ha!
