Dr Murphy was one of my Jr High English teachers in the early 80s - "Future Society" was the name of the class. He had a bootleg video of Star Wars that we watched over a couple days worth of class. One of the coolest teachers I ever had. I was saddened to hear of his passing.

I had "Mr." Murphy before he was Dr. Murphy at Crescenta Valley High School from 1992 to 1996. He was my English teacher and mentor. I never had another teacher that cared so much in and out of school. After I graduated nursing school in 2000, Murph, called me at home and offered me a job at Gabrielino High School. I went and visited him at the school and he took me to lunch at a little mexican place. That was the last time I saw him. I just learned of his death. God Speed Murph.

The Murphy family thanks you for a very touching video. My brother went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side & the biggest smile on his face. Geno was laid to rest at sea in Oceanside, California on July 6th. We will miss him dearly. He was the most loving, caring, generous, kindess person ever. See you at the Celebration of Life honoring my brother on 9/15/07 at 10:00am at Gabrielino High. God Bless and always remember that my brother is smiling down on all of you.
