Indoor Ditigal Chime System Called National Time And Signal Corporation at Lewisporte Collegiate. This is a Ditigal bell system, it is alot lower than the old electric bell that they used to used. They installed this so I can change classes and walk in hallways without getting a fright from the old loud electric school bell that they used to have. It helps me alot and I feel more relax at school. This is the 9:20 AM inside chime signaling for Recess. This video was created at the end of Period 1 Classes. The school schedule at that time is 8:18 AM (outside bell) is a warning bell for students to come into the school. The 8:20 AM (Inside Chime) is for Period 1 classes. The 9:20 AM (Inside Chime) is for Recess start. The 9:30 AM got the (Outside bell) and the (Inside Chime). Recess is over at 9:30 AM. The 9:30 AM outside bell is the warning bell that tells the students outside the school that Recess is over and they has to come in the school quickly and go to Period 2 Classes. The 9:30 AM inside Chime is telling the students in the school to go to class for Period 2 Classes. The 10:30 AM (Inside Chime) is for Period 3 Classes, The 11:30 AM (Inside Chime) is the start of Lunch (Dinner). The 12:13 PM (Outside Bell) is a warning bell for telling students outside the school that Lunch ends outdoors come inside the school. The 12:15 PM (Inside Chime) is for telling studends the lunch ends inside the school go to Period 4 Classes. The 1:15 PM (Indside Chime) is for Period 5 Classes. The 2:15 PM (Inside Chime) tells Students Classes are dismiss (over) and at 2:15 PM you can leave the school and go home. The outside bell rings monday to friday 3 times a day. The inside chime rings monday to friday 8 times a day. The 2 10 inch outside bell are located outside at the back and back left side of the school facing the road to standhope. The cafeteria has a inside 6 inch bell that also ring 3 times a day it's located in the back room behind the people that make the students lunch. The cafeteria open that doors and windows so people that are outside the school will hear it as a outside bell. The cafeteria bell is extremely loud. The cafeteria does this because that part of the school is facing the opposite direction away from the 2 10 inch outside bells. Students who are outside the school in the area where the cafeteria was build will not hear the 2 10 inch outside bells because there are on the opposide side of the school and they are far away from the 2 10 inch outside bells so the cafeteria open the windows and doors and the sound of that extremely loud 6 inch bell will be heard outside through the windows and doors that are inside the school. This video was created 10 minutes before the video I made of the Outdoor 10 Inch school bell at Lewisporte Collegiate.

  • Is this in America? European schools usually sound a series of descending chimes that actually sound nice, like church bells or tubular chimes. American schools with electronic signals seem to only use a beep tone or a monotone chime like this one.

  • No I live in canada. I live in Lewisporte Newfoundland, Atlantic Canada. The school with the chimes is called Lewisporte Collegiate it's located on the street called premier drive in Lewisporte, Newfoundland Atlantic Canada. but I don't go to this school anymore because I graduate from grade 12 from this school in June 26, 2008. I will miss the sound of the chime system in that school but when I goes on youtube to watch the video I made of the chime system, it will bring back good memories.
