It's funny 'cos I tried taking out the bridge pins, and they were so securely in, my fingers bled. Then the pins broke.

that dude must be pretty bloody strong if he can pull the bridge pins out with his fingers!!

@mrhappy145 There's no "kind of" about it. Natural state is without stress or tension. Stored guitars are generally severely detuned often for months or years before they are bought by an owner /player. Putting a guitar under string load is not it's natural state but as you say it's designed to withstand string load. The majority of new acoustics need setting up, this means slackening strings right back to remove the bridge for shaping and also nut filing.

@11thhourreprieve You are correct -- Kind of. A guitar is built to withstand the tension of the strings. That is it's true "natural state," if there is such a thing. You would not want to take all the strings off a guitar and store the instrument. However, taking the strings off for a short period of time, such as changing the strings, is not going to cause any problems.

@bunburyZ I would agree, however I'm 99 percent sure that's a Taylor acoustic. Not a piece of shit

I'm really mad because my string broke. What do I do? Can you buy individuals? I'm pissed
Help!
This type of thing does not need an ENTIRE SERIES OF VIDEOS .
