  • This man is unique at a time when their are just so many fakes.

Alvin is up there with Derek Trucks, Sonny Landreth.

  • @taildragger53 Thanks, we think he's fantastic! Was great getting to know him when he was passing through.

  • Omg this sounds really nice. (:

  • @guitarsumo007 Alvin is a great player and he's using some of the best guitar gear out there! Let us know if you have any questions about the guitar and amp. Victoria and Duesenberg are some of our best selling brands for a reason!

  • @fengerbody123 Eric is very limited...plus he lost that tone he did have around 1968.

I consider him more a pop star than Blues man.

  • @taildragger53 I think that's a bit of an exaggeration.

  • @lordkoos are you referring to the weight of the 49er or the starplayer tv? The 49er being a solidbody based on 50's LP's is a bit heavier than average but aids to the overall thickness of the tone while the starplayer tv is a well-balanced mix between a gretch and an LP. Thanks for checking out this video!

I put a set of TV Jones Classic Filtetrons in it a love it, although I would like to try some others someday. The stock pickups are not crisp or versatile enough for the work I usually do. I find the Starplayer a bit unwieldy and heavy with the Bigsby on there but it sounds so good that I deal with it. Definitely not as comfy as some guitars.
