There is no doubt that he is the spiritual father of violence, trying to religiously justify that terror and jihad are legitimate means to push through Islamic reforms and to spread Islam.

1st part of English translation of Gamal al-Banna`s comments: Hassan al-Banna met the men who were working for the British at the Suez Canal. They became friends. He taught them Islam and that Islam could be the Egyptian answer to the West, that Islam strives for equality, freedom, and social justice. This was new for the people then. These ideas spread very fast.
