Tanner Edwards signs autographs

Tanner Edwards, 6, signs autographs Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 during a party in his honor at Kathy's Dance Arts Studio in Magnolia, Arkansas. Tanner, a student at the studio, taped a hip-hop dance performance Monday that was aired Tuesday on the nationally-syndicated "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The show's producers contacted Tanner's parents after seeing a magnoliareporter.com video of his performance Monday, Sept. 13 at the Columbia County Fair Queen Pageant. For the record, I took this video. If I was in the first grade, and someone asked me to write my name 50 times, I would think I was being punished. But Tanner was as gracious as any big-name celebrity -- even with a huge piece of cake sitting in front of him. He was the same throughout this event as you see him here, smiling, patient and polite. Tanner Edwards is a real trouper.
