the m14 is an excellent rifle and unlike what is stated in the video it could reach out to 1000 yards or more with the right shooter

@Landoforpresident No that ain't false. The M14(M1A) is the largest caliber rifle I have ever shot. I hit a clay pigeon at about 250 ft with my second shot with ironsights. I've only fired four shots out of the rifle in my entire life. If some kid like me could do that, a trained soldier should be able to hit a man at 800-900 ft.

We left with 72 men in our platoon and came back with 19, Believe it or not, you know what killed most of us? Our own rifle. Practically every one of our dead was found with his [M16] torn down next to him where he had been trying to fix it.

I have an M1A and love it. Give em a little tweak and tune and they are better than most .308 sniper rifles. God bless the M1 Garand, the M-14 and the M1A... They are all a rifleman's rifle. Trick em out and they are the only rifle to own.
