Me being in medical school has nothing to do ith the way I talk outside of my work place, besides if u see al these comments you'll see my point that eveyone is so negative! The upload vids to get feed back but some of these comments are just mean you know and if their in school to learn than you can't expect perfection! So idk........ just saying!
@sskatygirl i agree!!! at least the person is not doing this at there home where there is no teachers around like some of these other videos i have seen
@sskatygirl I agree, she did just fine. I am a phlebotomist and work with this stuff on a daily basis. Like anything else, drawing blood is something you get better at with time. As for the butterfly needle being hands-free, as someone said, yeah, they are, but not always. Sometimes they need to be held in place in order to help the blood flow smoothly. The slightest movement can move the needle out of place or out of the skin all together. They are not always easy to work with.
For everyone being super critical about her technique: you do realize this a student in a class, right? The finesse with handling the tube and collection comes after experience. She did a lot better than most of the MAs and nurses I've had. I know it's easy to be a jerk on the internet, but there's no need for it here.
Wow, this is actually the best I've seen yet. We have students who don't dare even try the butterfly stick. Thanks for posting.

For a student, I thought she did great. I'm a current phlebotomy student and they are teaching us not to let go of the butterfly.
