  • It Seemed to be going ok until the two bikes came past. I stacked my Daytona at the Ring 18months ago, I was overtaken by a faster rider and started trying to ride at his speed, not mine, with obvious results ! Glad you're OK

  • cheers chap i'll be back there in Sept might take it easy :) Doing some rider training too so get me cornering sorted.

    ride safe

  • corner entry & picking the lines need serious improvements. you also brake to hard. try also braking while leaning (front braking of course)

when you came out of corner you front will came of the ground. as it was late at non organic angle you had a "tank flap" - during which its is nearly impossible to steer - thus, the bike went straight

nice video, hope you are ok

  • I never once had to brake too hard going round there. Also I used the whole track to corner and exit as there was no other bugger around 90% of the time. The acident was from probably me not reading the corner properly and went straight. Not because of a tank slapper. I appreciate your comments but I think you maybe on the crash part you have miss read what you are seeing.

as for cornering we all live and learn I probably could do with more experience/teaching ... but who doesn't :)

  • That's a lovely Ninja there though. Perhaps you should get one of those.

  • too slow and common as muck LOL

  • Glad you're OK madscot. To me you are going far too fast for a road you don't know. You make a lot of entry line mistakes from the start all the way to your off. Get ya first corner wrong and the third will bite you. That place doesn't take prisoners. Get to know the circuit and take your time...Enjoy it :-)

  • I think it was just a vision mistake.

The Superbike School talk about survival reactions. They involve checking the throttle, stiffening the arms and target fixation, etc

For whatever reason, your survival reactions kicked in and the barrier loomed.

You mentioned you were seeking further education and the California Superbike School will run through all this on Level 1 and can prepare you the next time this happens so you go around the corner rather than through it.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • not at all shaun, its more of a case of trying to follow faster riders lines. the key - ride at your own pace

  • Looks like you simply thought the corner was a different one completely!

Requires 100% concentration at all times or it will go badly

  • Ride at yer own pace you were going fine there you fudge-packer until the 'big boys' came along & you then felt the need to follow thru.
