This is a tune from France, written by the hurdy-gurdy player Gilles Chabenat. It's usually written as a waltz, but more accurately described as a bourree a trois temps (in 3/8 time). Since having been recorded by Irish band Solas, it has become a popular tune in Scottish and Irish sessions.

Recorded for the Mandolin Cafe Song-A-Week social group (Week #82).

  • Be careful to keep the 3/4 beat. Originally, it's a dance tune (three strikes Bourrée from Berry - France)

  • good job
