On the eve of the release of her sophomore album, "Epiphany," Def Jam darling Chrisette Michele and co-writer Ne-Yo sat down with Billboard to discuss the direction of the set, Michele's growth, the reason behind the album title, and more.

  • For those who are wondering, she doesn't abandon her jazz influence in her 2nd album. There's another song she has on the album called, "All I Ever Think About". It's a mix of Jazz & R&B. Lovely song! I'm sure that working with Ne-Yo didn't hurt her jazz roots in any way. One thing we should give him credit for are his songwriting skills. Like she said, he helped her find herself, not lose herself. I think she showed great versatility with "Epiphany". I doubt you'll be disappointed. :D

  • I love this lady.. and ive been commenting on every video but i really do love her lol #thatisall

  • i keep on telling u lol.. NOt on youtube :) love u boo!!

  • agree

  • Im sorry but I dont think she needs Neyos help to do anything!!! Lets not get it twisted!!!!

  • Chrisette discovered herself because when you first come out the first album is so heavily influenced by the industry( record label) that you select what they want instead of having your own voice. Epiphany is going to be the most played on ipod for a long time. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK......

  • THIS GURL DOES SOMETHING 2 ME

  • Love Chrisette Michele

  • I'm cautious to buy into this "Neyo helped me to show myself on a record" stuff that Chrisette is promoting.

I hope that Neyo didn't help her lose herself amongst all the other R&B "relationship" divas out there.

I really wanna see the same jazz influences, the melodies, her voice! I hope the Chrisette I liked makes an appearance on this record.
