This ezip was bought at Deseret Industries in Utah for $20. The batteries were shot so I bought these awesome 35ah sla batteries from ebay for about a hundred dollars. This scooter will save me $50 a month in gas to go to school plus I don't have to buy a parking pass. We cut the metal tubing on the scooter and extended the whole scooter about 2 inches and widened the battery resovoir about 2 or 3 inches also. I charge this with two trickle chargers in series and yes it's safe. The chargers were $8 each from Harbor Freight. I still need to adjust the brakes. I eventually may put a winch motor on this scooter. It would have plenty of power for hills and my fat butt then. I am in the Electronics program at Idaho State University and it's the best program west of the Mississippi. This video was uploaded from an Android phone.-2010-05-06
Thanks.... I tried! It goes 15 mph but I'm gonna eventually put a winch motor on this. The 500 watt motor has 2600 rpm and is 24 volts. I want to put a 12 volt winch motor on it and then I'll have 70 amp hours and be able to put my two 12 volt batteries in parallel lol.... I would be able to go like 50 miles ha ha...
