www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Empress Vintage Modified Superdelay is the result of a collaboration between Empress and us here at PGS to bring you an incredible delay pedal. The Vintage Modified Superdelay is finished in stunning black with gold script writing and labeling just to make your friends jealous. Thats not the only change though. Weve had the Tape mode refined to give a more vintage feel to the repeats. When youre in Tape mode there are 3 different types; Basic, Vintage, and Old. We left the Basic mode alone but had Empress modify the Vintage and Old modes. In the Vintage Mode (remember, these are all under the Tape setting) weve added extra modulation for a rich, full sounding repeat with full frequency response. In the Old Mode weve kept the same modulation but rolled off the high end by 15% and added some grit to emulate a tape delay with worn heads, old tape, and a bit of flutter. Both these new settings sound true to the tape delay legacy and give the Empress Vintage Modified Superdelay more versatility than before. - http://proguitarshop.com/store/delay-pedals-c-9/empress-vintage-modified-supe...

  • Hey Andy, Question, in this demo are you using any other pedals or is what we are hearing only the empress vintage modified superdelay?

    Thanks

  • @MonosonicJukeJoint - I believe Andy used an overdrive as well in this vid, probably a Lovepedal or an Xotic BB Preamp into the Fender DRRi. Other than that it's all VM Superdelay. Thanks!

  • Dang, I was just expecting to hear "Lime and limpid green" !!! nice job!

  • Nice tone! Is that true that the bypass cuts the delay's tail?

  • does anyone know the song at 3:43?

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos what is the song at 1:52?

  • This is analog or digital?

  • @pob1989 Since almost every U2 song uses delay, it could just be a coincidence...

  • proguitarshop, i dont know wich of these should i buy, the empress superdelay or the eventideTFactor?

  • so...el capistan or vmsd?

  • el capistan is so much better than this

  • I loooove this pedal!!! I have been using delays for 5 years now (since I started playing) and I have had an 80's Boss DM2, an 80's Ibanez AD9, a MXR Carbon Copy (which I really recommend for lower budget/ best quality analog delay), a Boss RV3 (which is awesome!!!) a Boss DD7 (which I recommend and still have) and a 70's Dynachord Echochord Mino (which I still have) buuuut this pedal really does it all. Ok its not a real tape echo, but it recreates that sound that well that I almost can't tell
