  • ive learned its not easy to connect lower and upper parts of the body, ive learned that timing is everything, the legs lead the body which leads the arms and vice versa, ive learned that one of the most important things to do is to be relaxed, always, realaxtion brings true power. ive learned that training with grandmaster you dont take anything for granted and in private classes dont waste his time. ive learned that he is truly a humble man and that his wife is an awesome cook!

  • @taichidawei ok, and now, what have you learn ?

  • ive trained with this man for over 10 years, he definitely doesnt lack in power hes just more subtle about it, extremely unassuming!

  • @wushumaro it doesnt lack power, he is just performing his fa jing in a slower and more concealed way, to make it clearer on the video ( this is a instruction DVD) :)

  • Nice. He's one of the four tigers of Chen taiji. I personally like Chen Xiaowang a bit more since his power is amazing. But Chen Zheng Lei has very fluid movements even if it lacks in power. thanks for this upload.!

  • Hey bobbruno70, I was in the S. Fl. workshop with Chen Xiao Wang. I echo your comments that CXW's interpretation is different than Chen Zheng Lei. Since our Shifu is a CXW guy, well so am I!

  • @bobbruno70 chen xiao wang and chen zheng lei are cousins. chen xiao wang's brother is chen xiao xing.

  • Laojia mean "old frame", whereas xinjia mean "new frame". They're both part of the style, but xinjia is more intricate and complex and I reckon you need to get a very good hold of the laojia forms before even thinking about training the xinjia forms.

  • What is Laojia and what is Xinjia? There is no such thing in other styles of taiji.

  • I just had the Pao Chui workshop with his brother, Chen Xiao Wang. It's interesting how they demonstrate the form differently on several aspects.

    Still, great video.
