A Conversation with Tom Gibbons, State's Attorney, Madison County, IL 1-10-12

At the November 2010 election, the Madison County Illinois States Attorney, William Mudge, was elected to be a Circuit Judge in the Illinois Third Judicial Circuit. The County Board Chairman Alan Dunstan appointed Tom Gibbons, an assistant state's attorney, to replace Mr. Mudge. With drug crimes on the rise, Mr. Gibbons has launched an aggressive campaign against drug dealers trafficking narcotics in Madison County, prosecuting dealers in overdose cases, eliminating plea bargains and demanding prison time. He has also joined a public awareness campaign to educate the public about the steep rise in deaths and addiction caused by the availability of inexpensive drugs. Conversation with Lee Presser is a weekly half hour television program seen for eleven years in the St. Louis market on Charter Cable TV.
