Whats more Trabzon is the one of the most Turkish national place in whole Turkey.
If yu put aside history you'll see that trabzon is more influenced by Georgian-Kafkas heritage then Greek heritage.

My family roots are in Trabzon, my Grandfather has told me so many stories about Trabzon.

Trabzon and Artvis was Georgia (Gurjistan), it's old Georgian Teritories . . . People even speak in Georgian in ARTVIN< RIZE, but unfortunately Ottomans occupied it! ! ! ! ! ! Many citizens of TRABZON and ARTVIN don't know that their origins are Georgians ! ! ! Their grandfathers were Georgians : (( :( :(

Trabzon is laz land which came under Greek colonies then Georgian influence in middle ages then Ottoman but it is Laz land lazs and Georgians are south caucasian brothers
