@vatrly according to 《封神榜》, he is 姜子牙's 书童. After the heroes reached heaven, 姜子牙 appointed all the positions to all the heroes except for the position of the throne. He left that for himself. The only person he didn't give a position to is his 书童. 姜子牙's 书童 saw that the only position open was the throne, so he went and sat on the throne before 姜子牙 took it. According to some sort of rule, the person who sits on the throne automatically becomes king. 姜子牙 was left with no position in heaven.
