yes I've seen croma keying done in the 80's that was way worse. this actually looks like there are two different people singing. and Danny kaye is one of the best comedians ever !!

That is Danny playing both parts. They were pretty good with camera tricks at times. Even in those days. 'Bewitched', 'I Dream of Jeannie' both employed doubles and were almost seamless in doing so.

last time I saw this I was a little girl. I absolutely love the "Danny Kaye Show" for all times. he was such a funny and clever man. Such talented human.
