That boy plays a DAMN good tram-bone. Great harmony, and he does it while dancing around on the stage. Damn good job!

It's probably that combined with his throat muscles, and the position of his mouth around the mouth piece. If you listen to C Jam Blues, you would find his tenor sounds very breathy and soft, which might be because of all you've said and all i've said.
