Three soldiers killed Tuesday (Mar 3, 2009) in Afghanistan return to Canada (Toronto along the section of Highway 401 known as the Highway of Heroes)
三名士兵星期二(2009年3月3日)在阿富汗死亡後返回加拿大(2009年3月6日)(沿多倫多401高速公路的一段公路被稱為英雄)
CFB TRENTON, Ont. - The bodies of three Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan this week arrived at CFB Trenton in eastern Ontario on Friday as a crowd of hundreds gathered outside the military base to pay their respects.
Warrant Officer Dennis Brown, Cpl. Dany Fortin and Cpl. Kenneth O'Quinn died Tuesday when an improvised explosive device went off near their armoured vehicle while they were on patrol in the Arghandab district, northwest of Kandahar City.
As has become customary, the soldiers were also saluted from overpasses as a convoy carrying their bodies travelled from CFB Trenton to Toronto along the section of Highway 401 known as the Highway of Heroes.

  • Be sure to thank Harper and the Conservative government every time another one of our kids come back in a body bag! Its not the Canadian kids fault, they are only trying to make a living and get ahead in life by joining the army. On the other hand, our government only wants to play nice with the Americans at our young generations expense. Shame on you Stephan Harper!

  • Which bridge were you standing on? It was a very moving event. I was on the Victoria Park and 401 overpass in Scarborough and there were at least 100 proud Canadians there to pay tribute to the soldiers and their family members and friends as the police motorcade passed by. I posted video if you want to see it.
