can this key board hook up to an electric piano or keyboard for use of the full 88 keys?

well, you can switch up and down octaves via the "octave up" "octave down" buttons, but yes... it can. the 88 key keyboard must have midi out, and then using a midi cable, you can control the micron with the 88 key keyboard. i think, atleast

Well, I had a Korg Poly 61 and a few other keyboard/sampler type things (casio sk-1, yamaha vss-30) but they were damaged in a flood.... I am mid-process recording an album so for the sake of consistency, I needed an analogue polyphonic synthesizer. So as much as I like the micron, I am selling it because I purchased a Roland Juno 6 (1982).

hey, was wondering if the micron had an arpeggio for each sound in it's sound bank? and how many? also is this machine compatible with any external sequencers for even more arps? thanks.

Micron sounds so, so much better than Xio/X-Station/K-Station. Novation suck at doing filters.

Just got my lim ed blue micron 2 days ago.. thanx ebay! And this is a great vid. Love the video edits lolz. But myself? I got the micron as a secondary more portable synth to sit next to my korg radias.. there are some cross breeding love children to make now!

@Sam111111 Oh. Well Im not one to really use a vocoder too much. Thanks :) If I can't get my hands on a good second hand synth ill consider the micron.

@V19torrent The microkorg doesn't have a step sequencer/drum machine and sounds different/has less features [I think it sounds worse, but it's personal preference]. The one area where the microkorg wins is the vocoder, it's better [though the micron does have a vocoder, it's not as good/intuitive of one].

... I did a bunch of research before I made my purchase a year or two ago. :P

@Sam111111 yeah i have heard that it's really menu-based. I don't have a problem with the small microkorg keys though i do want a synth with a step sequencer/drum machine. If the korg's easier to get around and winds up with virtually the same features I'd really consider it.

@V19torrent Not really, the settings are hard to get to. It sounds great, though, especially for the price, so if you're a cheap beginner who doesn't want to play tiny keys it's your only real choice, at least new. :P
