Nice review however I did notice something interesting. If I came arond the side of your garage and walked in front of the garage door over to the plug, easily accessible to unplug the camera, now what?

@avhj12 Get caught on cameras inside house, arrested. Done.

This system looks cool, but it's so noticeable. And what is going to stop the guy from breaking your camera? I need something that no one can clearly see.

@chrgeorgeson It would be so easy just to walk up and pull the power plug , I'd rather have a camera that works with a better power supply inside the wall.

I use PCAnywhere on my 2 remote computers at work and my laptop to log into my host. I bypass the Logitech website and all the delays.
I paid 20 dollars for this work around! Make sure to STATIC IP your
router so you never lose connection to the host!

jesus christ, that camera is HUGE. you dont even need a sign that says you are being recorded. people will see that from 3 blocks away. i rather a sleek and slim design.
But what happens when the burgler comes and steels my computer, then what?

@ihavevideos45
You could always have the videos record to a NAS hidden somewhere in the house.

That's a much better review than most. Thanks. Couple questions, How well does it work at night and how far? (i have a mercury vapor light on a pole so I have some dim light and would like to view the yard up to about 150') Second question, any idea how far the camera unit will transmit to the receiver? (for best view I would like to have the camera around 100' from the house/receiver)

When it's pitch black out it's also black on the camera more or less. That being said, when it's getting dark outside, it looks dark through the window but looks surprisingly light on the camera. You could probably see someone moving out in front but you wouldn't be able to make them out. As far as how far the signal travels, I have no idea. You may have to look for a spec sheet for that.

I see that you have posted this review last June.
I've seen mixed reviews of the outdoor camera failing within a year or so.
How has your camera been doing?

Still going strong. But it will be one year this june so we still have a few months.
