Does this game use the combat width and stacking penalties that Hearts of Iron uses? As a die hard HoI3 fan, I'm keen on learning Victoria 2 due to the time period but it took me months to learn every single element/detail of HoI. I have played Victoria 2 for a few days but the combat seemd to be a case of 'numbers grater than tactics'?

Granted...I was my native UK :)

Is anyone a HoI player? How do the two games compare? Victoria 2 seems to have a more indepth economical aspect to it

@panosmel97 Nope. I really just want to know how you create an army/troops/ navy/ etc. because to me that feature makes or breaks strat games.

how do u stop everyone from going to war with you. Say Im Spain and Im going after Morocco. France, Russia and everyone wants to go war with me. I end up with 5 years of not bearing arms, I have too pay taxes to them and lose halve of my army every time! I cant fight all the great powers so I end up accepting

Ok, I am thinking about getting this game. I love total war campaign mode, i dont really care for the battle modes or anything. But i do wish total war had a more in depth international relations system. Think i would like this game? And how do you make/gain armies in this game?
