People like Qaradhawi are a threat to society, mainly to the arabic muslim societies. But he is only one interpreter of islam, and the sheer lack of any critical examination of their religion is the much bigger threat than the people, who are born into this religion. We have to enlighten these people, not to incite hate against them!
