Of course this happens to every striker - you score a legit goal but the referee somehow thinks it was irregular. Naturally Müller scored tons of goals that were disallowed, mostly due to off-side or a foul.
However there were three legit goals Müller scored in three big, important finals, which were all unjustly disallowed by the referee:
1974 - European Cup Final vs. Atletico (first game)
1974 - World Cup Final vs. Holland
1976 - European Cup Final vs. AS St. Etienne
Thankfully these injustices to Gerd Müller and his teammates did not matter in the end, as his teams still managed to win these final games. It is noteworthy though that Müller never made a big deal out of his legit goals being disallowed.
Part 3: Gerd Müller scores already two minutes into the 1976 European Cup final at Glasgow vs. AS St. Etienne - however the referee does not count the goal - nobody knows why, he certainly was not off-side. It's remarkable how stoically Müller accepts his fate.
Muller = Simple.

i wonder how much a player like him would go for intodays transfer market (and what wages) its funny tho cos his goals arent class but he just puts it in the back of the net! which is ultimately important
And fair play to him for not reacting. He has respect unlike todays footballers
